7. Roman Art

Roman Art did a major part in influencing the modern world. The main parts of Roman Art and Architecture that influenced the modern world were the arch and dome. The dome was just an arch turned on an axis, but an arch was more complicated. The arch was used for a variety of purposes, and even today there are many arches in buildings worldwide. These arches are used for a variety of purposes, but they all stemmed from the original Roman arch. This influence is what caused me to put this as my seventh most influential thing from the classical age.
